The Chateau du Fey recently hosted a wedding of an American couple in the summer, and it was a unique and memorable event. The bride being of Indian origin, the wedding was marked by culinary choices, colors and rituals inspired by Indian culture. Flower leis and ritual candles symbolizing the wishes of the bride and groom's family were incorporated into the ceremony, and guest gifts were also in keeping with this theme.
Preparations began early in the afternoon in the rooms of the Château, where the couple prepared for the ceremony outdoors under the trees of the park. Despite the sweltering heat, they wanted to celebrate their union in the park, surrounded by their relatives and friends. The secular ceremony was led by one of their best friends, dressed in a kimono for the occasion.
The ceremony was a mixture of Indian tradition and modernity. The bride wore a white dress, while the groom was dressed in an elegant blue suit. At the end of the ceremony, the couple were proclaimed husband and wife, to the applause and cheers of their guests.
The cocktail and dinner were served in the courtyard of the Château and in its park, where each guest could enjoy the beauty of the estate. The outdoor dinner took place under a sky of light bulbs and garlands, creating a subdued and romantic atmosphere. The various testimonials from families and friends during the meal greatly moved the couple, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening was the dance floor, where the groom, an amateur DJ, mixed music for his guests. This personal touch was much appreciated, adding a festive and dynamic dimension to the evening.
